It’s a well known fact that Fred & Friends is a fantastic brand of odd and fun products for your home and office.
It’s a little known fact that I wish to become the Martha Stewart of kitchen kitsch.
And it’s a good thing that Fred & Friends products will help me get there.
The first step toward this lofty goal is co-writing a blog that features fabulous recipes made by fabulous women. Consider this step marked in the “Done” column.
The second step toward starring in a TV show that showcases all of my wacky kitchen gadgets is actually owning wacky kitchen gadget, and Evan and Jess were kind enough to get me started with these Fred M Cup Measuring Matroyshkas.
I believe whole heartedly in Cream City Cuisine’s philosophy that Measuring is for Wussies, but these little measuring cups in the guise of Russian nesting dolls will get you in ballpark range quite nicely and with style yet besides.
They’re perfect for the cook who has little cabinet space, and each doll splits across the middle resulting in a full set of measurements: 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, and 1 cup. That’s more than your average measuring cup set.
I repeat, it’s a good thing…
I think it is also important to note, that while measuring is, in fact, for wussies, this mostly applies to cooking. Baking is a completely different story, at least for us.
Those are awesome. LOVE them. And also agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment that measuring is not necessary for cooking, but can wreak havoc if you don’t measure when baking.
That’s why we love cooking so much more than baking – more room for experiment and error…
